Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Klass uses, why we use it, and the choices available to families, learners and institute teams.

Last updated: 22 September 2026

1. Who this policy covers

Klass is a Datacruise service for discovering, booking and managing learning and activity programmes. This policy applies to visitors, parents and guardians, learners, institute owners and staff who use Klass websites, applications, messaging and support channels.

An institute may separately decide how it uses information for teaching, safeguarding and programme delivery. In those cases, its own privacy notice may also apply.

2. Data we collect

We collect only the information reasonably needed to operate and improve Klass, including:

  • Account and contact details, such as name, email address, mobile number, role and sign-in provider.
  • Family and learner details, such as age, interests, goals, availability, location preferences and parent or guardian relationship.
  • Booking, attendance, timetable, feedback, assessment, report-card and certificate information supplied through Klass.
  • Payment records, invoices, refunds, credits and transaction references. Payment-card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by Klass in full.
  • Messages and support records, including WhatsApp communications when you choose or enable that channel.
  • Device, security and usage information, such as IP address, browser, pages visited and actions taken.
  • Documents, medical notes, accessibility needs or safeguarding information that you or an institute chooses to provide where necessary.

3. How and why we use data

We use personal data to create accounts, match families with relevant programmes, coordinate schedules, process bookings and payments, deliver learning records, provide support, prevent misuse and improve the service.

Depending on the activity and applicable law, we rely on your consent, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, protection of vital or public interests, or our legitimate interests in providing a safe and reliable service. You may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

When Klass operates an institute-owned WhatsApp account, Klass processes those conversations to deliver the service, retain the operational record, moderate attempted contact sharing and route safety concerns. Identifiable conversations from that account are not used for underwriting, leakage enforcement or model training under the institute’s operational authorisation. Any such additional use would require a separately documented basis and notice before it is enabled.

4. Children and learner data

A parent or legal guardian must provide or authorise a child’s information unless the learner can lawfully act for themselves. Please share only information relevant to the child’s programme, safety and progress.

We do not sell children’s personal data or use it for third-party behavioural advertising. Access to learner records is limited according to account role and programme relationship.

5. When data is shared

We may share data with:

  • The institute, branch, trainer or authorised staff involved in an enquiry, booking or programme.
  • Service providers that support hosting, authentication, payments, communications, analytics and customer support, including Supabase, Stripe and enabled sign-in or messaging providers.
  • Professional advisers, regulators, courts or law-enforcement bodies when reasonably necessary or legally required.
  • A successor organisation if Klass or the relevant business is reorganised, acquired or transferred, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.

6. International data transfers

Some providers and institute teams may process information outside the UAE. Where required, we use contractual, technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal data during an international transfer.

7. How long data is kept

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose collected, including account operation, learning history, safety, dispute handling, accounting and legal obligations. We then delete or anonymise it unless continued retention is permitted or required by law.

8. Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit, monitoring and other proportionate safeguards. No online service is completely risk-free, so please use a strong password, protect your devices and tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

9. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law and permitted exceptions, you may ask to access, correct, update, transfer or delete your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; or withdraw consent. You may also update many details directly in your Klass account.

To make a request or complaint, email helpdesk@datacruise.io. We will acknowledge the request and explain any identity checks, legal limits or next steps.

10. Cookies and similar technology

Klass uses essential storage for sign-in, security, language and service preferences. We may use limited analytics to understand performance and improve the experience. Where consent is required for optional technology, we will request it before use.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Klass, our providers or applicable requirements change. The date above shows the latest revision. Material changes may also be communicated in the service or by email.

Klass is a Datacruise service. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to helpdesk@datacruise.io.
